<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Marshmallows <\/strong>-- We recommend using&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3NKVogv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Kraft Jet-Puffed Marshmallows<\/a>&nbsp;because they produce perfectly chewy treats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Different brands have different textures and weights. (For more intense flavor, add the whole package!) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pure Almond Extract<\/strong> -- For even more flavor, add a bit of almond extract. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pistachios<\/strong> -- You'll need shelled pistachios, coarsely chopped. If you prefer the taste of sweet and salt, lightly salted works. I recommend<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3JsBqnW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"> Americolor Soft Gel Paste in Leaf Green<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Extra large mixing bowl<\/strong> -- It's best to have room to mix the cereal with the marshmallow mixture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Medium sauce pan OR large microwave-safe bowl<\/strong> -- You may melt the butter and marshmallows either on the stove-top or the microwave. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8-inch or 9-inch square baking pan<\/strong> -- I prefer the smaller size for thicker treats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Non-stick cooking spray and non-stick foil<\/strong> --It helps to spray your pan, bowls, and spatulas with cooking spray. Add the marshmallows and heat, stirring frequently, until almost all of the marshmallows have melted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remove from the heat and stir well until very smooth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To make Rice Krispie Treats in the microwave:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Place the marshmallows and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heat for 1 minute and let sit for a couple minutes. Stir very well until smooth and melted.
